Paul Parker Utica Trust
Paul Parker was chair of the Hamilton College Art department and a
professor there for twenty-two years. During the ‘50’s and 60’s he
sketched and painted scenes of pre-urban renewal Utica. Upon his
retirement Prof. Parker joined twenty-two of these oil paintings into a
permanent collection to become the Paul Parker Utica Trust and asked
Cassandra Harris-Lockwood to be the Trustee.
These Trust paintings are major works of art and
are available for lease on quarterly basis. The income from the Trust
is used for ‘supporting and promoting the arts’ for ‘individuals whose
talents exceed their financial means.’
